This is an informative enjoyable record of Ecclesall Road. Its rich diversity is well covered and brings back happy memories of my youth - travelling along one of Sheffield’s finest roads. Certain stretches are still very recognizable but others near the city centre have changed dramatically. The book not only has many photos from the early 19th century but some as late as the 1980’s. It is lovely to be able to follow the route from Whirlow - seeing the changes along the way to the city centre. This excellently produced book with many unseen photographs will be enjoyed by many Sheffield people.
